The F-16 was very successful because of its low cost, high performance
and multi-roll capability, large numbers of export aircraft were sold.
The F-16 Fighting Falcon was the first “Fly by wire” combat aircraft.

missions, the F-14 Tomcat has now been in service for well over 20 years.
